Balance the Books, inc
A passion for helping businesses and nonprofits succeed led me to establish Balance the Books, Inc., utilizing over 35 years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting. For many years I worked as the staff accountant for a tax/bookkeeping firm in Berkeley, CA, where I managed the firm’s diverse client base and its bookkeeping staff. This job provided valuable experience in working with many types of businesses and nonprofits, along with managing a team. Other experience over the years includes small business bookkeeping, tax preparation with H&R Block, and over 15 years on staff with nonprofits. Additionally, I am a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and an active member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers.
Africa 180, Inc. quickly became one of my favorite clients. I am honored to provide their bookkeeping services and have had the privilege of visiting their work in Mozambique on several occasions. Tracy Evans and her team are my heroes and are nothing short of amazing!

On a personal note, I am a widow, who is fortunate to have had a beloved spouse for over 40 years. Mike was my greatest fan and modeled an exceptional work ethic I strive to follow. I enjoy traveling and spending time with our large family that includes 4 children, their spouses, 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. I consider raising a wonderful family, who all serve their country and community well, one of my greatest accomplishments.
